I started creating my family tree with the help of relatives, before there was no one left to ask. Perhaps because I'm an only child I feel the need to belong, or maybe it's just in the local community everyone thinks they're related and I just wanted to find out how! So far my research starts with John Tudball in Timberscombe, Somerset in 1805 and the Yeandle family (my mother's side)in Selworthy, Somerset, around the same time. Names I've come across so far include Palmer and Hurley (on my mothers side, from Over Stowey, Nether Stowey and Stogursey area, near Bridgwater, Somerset)and Warren (from Simonsbath, Somerset)Pugsley(from Cutcombe)and Chapman (Old Cleeve, Somerset) on my father's side. Later on more names include Floyd, Ferris(From Luccombe, Somerset)Mogford(From Dunster, Somerset)Jones(from Doverhay, Porlock Somerset, and previously Wales) Glassow(London area I think)Ikin(from New South Wales, Australia),Quick, Baker, Cornish, Groves and Gunter-and still growing.
