Nora Alice Parker (daughter of George Parker and Alice Elizabeth Chick) was born 17 January 1910 in 70 Doddington Grove, Southwark, London., and died 20 January 1978 in War Memorial Hospital. Crowborough, Sussex. She married Frank Charles Tullis on 25 August 1934 in Registry Office, Southwark, London., son of William Alexander James Tullis and Margaretta May Webster.

Notes for Nora Alice Parker:

My mother Nora was born in 1910. At the age of 10 her mother died and she was left looking after the family. Eight children, four older and three younger than her. She became a bit of a drudge until she eventually got out and married my father. She was exceptionally intelligent but sadly though she was beneath everyone, an inverted snob. Had a hard life. She was very undemonstrative and even at the end woud not cotemplate any show of affection.

Doddington Grove where mum was born runs parallel to Kennington Park Road. Turn down Braganza St and 3rd right.
