Alexander Yooll Tullis (son of James Tullis and Mary Lamb) was born 14 April 1859 in Cupar, Fife., and died 5 December 1925 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.. He married Christina Ross Mackenzie on 14 July 1887 in Hope Pk End House, Hope Pk Terrace, Edinburgh., daughter of William Mackenzie and Helen Miller.

b, 14th April 1859/60 at Cupar, Fife. m, 14th July 1887. District of Newington, City of Edinburgh to Christina Ross Mackenzie. His address at the time was 5 Kelvin Terrace, Highbury Park, London. and Christina's address was Hope Park End House. Edinburgh. d. December 5th 1925 inNorth Vancouver, British Columbia.
1881 census.. Staying with the Milne family at 5 Millgate, Cupar, Fife. 1891 address.. 63 Brownhill Road, Catford, London. 1901 census.. Staying with his stepsister, now married to Ainsworth Wilson, both vetinary surgeons. His occupation is Bank Accountant. Address.. 59 High Street, Blairgowrie, East Perthshire.
Last info on Alexander was that he entered the USA on May 30th 1909 on 'The Celtic' with Christina via Ellis Island bound for Kelly Ranch, Chugwater, Wyoming. His contact there was George Milne, (his stepbrother). He was not accompanied by any of his children. Coincidentally it's also the last info we have on his mother, now Mary Milne, he gives her address as Evelyn House, Witham, Essex.
I'm in touch with the Town Hall, Chugwater and am waiting for any information they can give me.
He possibly had another brother called Alexander, as there are two on the IGI records, Stillborn? No trace of his children so far.
Seems he never got to Chugwater but ended up in British Columbia, Canada. He died there on 5/12/1925.
5 foot 10, fair hair and grey eyes. Ships manifest.
Arrived New York may 30th 1909 on The Celtic.
Information from death certificate... Buried 5th December 1925 at Ocean View, presumably N Vancouver.
Last address.. looks like... 8st @Hendry ave North Vancouver. Have since found Arthur who married a chinese girl and William Mckenzie also got to Canada and as far as I can ascertain never married.
