I first met Uncle George after the war. He was paralysed below the knees. It was said it was due to injuries received whilst he was a prisoner of war in Germany but it now appears it was psycosomatic? He was given a bungalow near Luton on his discharge and had a small holding. Mainly pigs as I remember. Was also something to do with Gypsy Rights.
