Inspired with stories and tales told by my Grandfather, Frances Jerome Armstrong, about his childhood in Georgia, and his family's move to Texas, along with my sister's enthusiasm, and wanting to learn more about all the branches of our family, we embarked on the adventure of our lifetimes some 30 odd years ago. The more she found out, the more interested I became, until I, too, was bitten by "The Bug" and "Hooked on Genealogy". Many a library has endured our presence and many a Cemetery, tucked away in "only God knows where" places visited and stired with shouts of glee when a long lost relative was located. Relatives have been grilled with questions that hopefully would stir those long ago memories, names, and places that had been tucked away in the deepest recesses of their minds. Tons of paper, pencils, and erasers have been used in making notes, charts, and family pages. Nights and dreams are full of names, places, and times long past where we experience and share the lives, hopes, dreams, joys, and heartaches we have learned about each. All of this I share, dedicate and blame on each. This is truly a "work in progress", please take as such.
