Jose H. Tupas Sr. was born in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo and lived at Hinobaan, Negros Ocidental. He was married to Virginia Dantes of Bulacan in the 1920s. They have nine children and their names are; Alfredo, Jose Jr, Maruja McCaw, Juliet Cunamay,Soledad Sawyer, Antonio,Romeo,Bayani, Luzviminda Santiago. Jose and Virginia Tupas has at least 50 grandchildren and 100 great grandchildren.
Jose Jr, second eldest son is a retired Lt.in the Philipine Constabulary. He is married to Evarista Delos Reyes of San Narciso, Zambales. They have nine children and their names are ; Evelyn (Beth)Barroso married to Rueben Barroso;Juanito (Boy) married to Cynthia (Ching) Eugenio, Jereon (Kit)married to Teresa Cueto, Joefrey married to Theresa (Tetet) Alfonso; Eva (Hilda), Emedita (Anggie) Legara; Elsa married to Fering, Junevar married to V. Datumanong, Leny married to Tangol.
