My name is John Everett Turner. I am a 6th Generation direct lineal descendant of John and Elizabeth. They are my GGGG Grandparents.

John Turner is purported to have been born in 1755 somewhere in Virginia. [possibly Halifax County] He and Elizabeth (Sukie) Dillard definitely were married in Halifax County, VA around 1776.

According to the D.A.R., John Turner joined the Continental Army in VA, and served for 7 years. His rank at separation - Platoon Sergeant.
