Personal Profile
High energy human resources professional, a runner, and very active. Home is in Overland Park, Kansas. Divorced since 1992 and will never remarry. Active member of Mensa, hosting the local chapter monthly meetings in my home. Held All American title in competition karate under American Karate Association for two years at the First Dan (black belt) level. Proficient in languages and enjoy traveling in countries where English isn't spoken. In addition to English, speak Lakota with conversational ability in six other languages. Particularly at home in Europe or anywhere around the Mediterranean. Hold a Bureau of Indian Affairs card in the Cherokee Nation. Won district level public speaking contests with Toastmasters International, and received honors and national recognition from a number professional associations for leadership excellence.
Family
Siblings are one younger sister and two younger brothers. One daughter living in Florida with three children of her own. Two youngest are planning on college in the Midwest while the oldest lives in Miami and currently under contact in a television series shown overseas and under contact as a fashion model. Mother lives in Silverdale, WA, a Bremerton ferry ride from the Seattle area, and most other family members are in my home state of California, either the Bay area or Orange County. Serve as active member with the my title being Emperor of a large extended family locally, and we get together either at restaurants or in our homes frequently.
My Interests
Enjoy my job in human resources, and serve with many civic, ethnic, cultural, and professional associations and organizations, usually in a leadership role. Also, attend many performing arts such as theatre, symphony, ballet and particularly opera both here and in other cities. Active on the Board of Directors of the Lyric Opera Guild of Kansas City. Plus, passionate for art, theatre, music, books, and movies. Usually stop for garage sales, second hand stores, flea markets, like to antique, and to collect. Additional interests includes serving as a volunteer with many organizations and associations, attending church and bible class each week, gardening, my Native American Indian cultural and heritage activities, traveling and reading. Always have several hundred books in various stages of being read, and possess a large personal library of over 100,000 volumes.
