I am just starting my family research in conjunction with my maternal uncle Harold Hubka. I am researching not only my mothers side but my fathers side as well. Both my parents were born and raised in Southern Alberta and like all settlers/homesteaders at that time - we were transplants from all over the world. Tracing roots can be very time consuming as well as misleading but rewarding at the same time.
