I'm currently researching multiple lines: Sikes/Sykes, Ormond, Berry, Brickhouse, Cutler, Carter. I want to know not only where and when these folks lived but also the times in which they lived and how their lives were affected by events larger than themselves: immigration, war, depression, etc.

My family has suffered losses in its collective memory because family members moved away from others and lost contact and because many "flew under the radar" of traditional documentary sources.

As an historian, I've never really done a lot of geneaology but I've been lucky in finding several generations in all directions and have become obsessed! Any help that anyone out there can help give will be greatly appreciated and I will share my information freely!
