I have been searching for 3-4 years now, and have come up pretty empty handed. My grandfather, Everett Lee Bake, SR was killed in WWII. Everett Sr married LaVerne McGinnis of Versailles. His fathers name was James LaFayette Bake nicknamed "dad" Bake. The people in Versailles, MO have told me stories of him walking the streets selling "hot tamales"-the best in town. His father was William Bake. I don't know his mothers name. Everett Lee had 1 son, Everett Lee Bake, Jr., my father. And he had 3 brothers, James (Bill), Charles, and Fred. There have been no reunions that I'm aware off, there aren't any of this line of Bakes left, other than myself and my brother, Jeffrey Lee. I would like to know if James had any sibling and what his parents names were. I do have some birth dates and dates of deaths if anyone is interested. There is rumor that James had a resterant in Kansas City ?Ks or MO? James passes away at the St. Margaret's Hospital in KCK. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!
