About Our Family Research

The main lines I am researching are: DICKEY, ELLENBURG, GREGORY,JARRETT,UNDERWOOD and WILLIAMS. There are many other names included. I will be happy to exchange information. The Dickey's are from Ireland, but I havn't been able to get that far yet. The Ellenburgs from Tenn. The Gregory's North Carolina or Tenn. The Jarrett's from Miss. The Underwoods from West Virgina.

Dickey:

John Dickey b.1833 in MS or AL. Served in Civil War. Married
Maria J. Cartwright April 07,1857 in Hernado Desoto county MS.
Their children: James Benjamin Dickey b. 1865 MS, Sarah Dickey b. 1859 and I believe there was another child(Mary)(Margret)
or (Mollie). They were in Yalobusha MS in 1860. John and Maria both died while the children were young before 1870 according to family interview (John Dickey died first and then not long after we were told Maria died). James and his sister were seperated. James ran away then went back to Desoto cty and married Mary J Cannon Sept. 9 1885. They had 3 childred. (Don't know what happened to Mary J. Cannon) Then James married again in Ark. He married Sara Elizabeth (Lizzy) Ellenburg in 1893 and they had about 13 children.

ELLENBURGS:

We have a missing line of Ellenburgs.
Walter Ellenburg born 1886 in Tenn. Married Maragaret Dickey in 1903 Ark. They had the following children, Prior, Holly, William, Ruby, Ollie, Billie, Cecil, Lawerence, Claude, Lottie, and Beatrice. They were in Arkansas last we know of would love to make contact with any descendants of these children and share info. Thankfully I have heard from some of the Decd. And they have shared info so the Ellenburg info has been updated and we are all looking for more. It seems none of us has come up with the father of Sarah Ellenburg children. I have updated the
info on our Ellenburgs because of information recieved from some
of the one's that are stated above. Keep the info coming and
if we can get it all together we may be able to find out who the father of Sarah Ellenburgs children were.

Gregorys:

Charles Tucker Gregory b.1868 in North Carolina or Tenn.
He married Savanna Noe b.1876 in Marshal county. They got married
Dec. 21,1896 in Marshal County Miss. They Had 6 children. They moved to Ark. He married a lady named Ida Kennedy after Savanna died. In 1900 census Charlie and Savanna were living in Desoto County Miss. with 2 children.
