My mother was Mary J. WIEBE. She was born southeast of Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada January 12, 1910. She married Ryburn R. UPDIKE June 1, 1929 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and they had four children together: Jean Elizabeth, Lee Robert, Harley John, and Dale Allen UPDIKE. Mom's parents and ancestors were Mennonites as far back as we have been able to determine, while my dad's ancestry was American back to the early 1600's, and before that, Dutch, Scottish, and English, with a few French Huguenots to add flavor. This website is my tribute to my mother and her family, and our MANY new cousins whom I am meeting almost every month through internet research!
