Hello to all. I am Karen and have been researching my families the past couple of years . I have a few stumbling blocks though.
The Main Families are The Campbells of Tennessee and Kentucky . The next family is Burgett. I have a very small amount on them. Only back as far as my GGGreat Ganfather. Then there is The Phipps family. I found as much as anyone could ask for in the direct line with the help of others. The next family is Shelton. There are a few mebers that tie together as far as census records and other documents. But there is one person I cannot find a parent for. Alexander Shelton. He was the grandson of William Shelton and Fannie Mabe in North Carolina. This William and Fannie also had a daughter named Sara and a son named Joeseph. There is about a 30 year gap in the two children's births. So I am sure my Alexander was from one of the children born between Sara and Joseph. I can't find records to locate these children . So if anyone has information of Shelton's born to William Shelton and Fannie Mabe in the area of Stokes County North Carolina and Lee County Virginia about 1810-1830 it would help me a great deal.
