I am researching the Arnold, Bucklin, Calkins and Greenhill family lines. Also Shipley and Willard Jan 2003 I have spent the past 2 years researching the roots of the Greenhill family of Virginia (later Alabama and the South). My research has led me to England where I found the will of Capt David Greenhill- (father of Paschal Greenhill the Virginia Immigrant). The Greenhill family story has been unfolding via lawsuits, wills and other material found in London. Eventually my findings will be documented in a book about the Greenhill family origins in England. Regarding the Calkins, I have the lineage Hugh, John, Samuel, Samuel, Samuel, Silas Welcome, Andrew Jackson, Nina. The Calkins lived in Ct., Ny, Wisconsin Regarding the Bucklin family, my line is John Buckland, William Buckland, Joseph Buckland, Joseph Bucklin , Joseph, David, John, Alden, John, D'Estaing, John, Marjorie Bucklin Arnold The Bucklins lived in Ma, RI, NY, Wisconsin I would like to find other descendants which share this line who might have some photos or narrative on the family. My parents are Edward Arthur Arnold and Patricia Greenhill Arnold My Siblings are Marjorie Arnold Noble, Carol Arnold, Jennifer Dubble, Matthew Arnold. He worked on the railroad. He was the son of Eleanor Tobin and D'Estaing Bucklin. Eleanor Tobin, my great great grandmother (139 KB) Eleanor Tobin was the daughter of Mary and John Tobin. Eleanor was born in Ireland, as was her father. Her siblings were born in Wisconsin. She married D'Estaing Bucklin in Wisconsin 11/20/1867. She was the mother of John Tobin Bucklin. My great great grandfather, D'Estaing Bucklin (126 KB) D'Estaing Bucklin was the son of John Beardsley Bucklin. He was born in 1840 in Barnes Corners, NY. He married Eleanor Tobin in 1867. He was the father of John Bucklin. D'Estaing Bucklin with 2nd wife Margaret. (173 KB) D'Estaing Bucklin with 2nd wife Margaret. He married her after his 1st wife died. Margaret was the sister of Eleanor, his 1st wife. Margaret is seated on the left.
