looking for relatives of (Charles E. Utes b-1941), son of (Ernest J. Utes b-1898), son of (John Ferdinand Utes) b-unknown, I believe John was a Plummer in Chicago in early 1900s when he suddenly pastaway due to the gas light in his room went out and He never woke. I've heard that he may have had a brother. Ernest "Joe" Utes owned a deli in the 1920s/30s and a gas station in the 40s on the corner of Belmont & Berry in Elmwood Park just out side of Chicago, His mother (Ida Lartz(m))and his sister (Ethel Utes) I have no Info on at all- also no info on his father(John) or grand father. He married (Florence Knapp b-1907),in 1927 daughter of (Charles S. Knapp b-1871) in Werzburg Germany and migrated to the U.S. around 1891 and taught at Crane College in Chicago until He retired. He passed in 1945 leaving his wife(Flora Anna loiuse Brendemuehl) Knapp who lived until 1960.
