Tri-Family Home Page (Uthe, Batory, Shannon)

Updated January 4, 2004

About Our Family Research

Paul Batory, Esther Selma Kitzki Batory, are my parents. Lived in & married in Pittsburgh, Pa. Paul Batory came to the US in about 1905. Esther was born in Pittsburgh, PA in December 1904.
Paul was born in April 1900. The Shannon's I'm looking for are from upper Michigan and from Conneaut, Ohio. Mark Shannon was Howard's father and Phillip Charles Shannon is Howard's son. The Kitzki or Kitzky family came from Prussia the first part of the 1900's. I think the old country name was vonKitzki (spelling)? The Uthe family was from Cleveland, Ohio. Chester Frederick Uthe moved to Ashtabula, Ohio and married Mary Parks. Chester was born May 16, 1910. Mary in August 1912. Howard Shannon died in a fire in Conneaut about 1952; Mark Shannon died about Jan. 1961.
Howard Shannon was married to Beatrice.
John Kitzky married Fredericka Scharnowski. She died in 1939; he died in 1929, I think.
Mary Hassey Parks Uthe was born in Oil City or Union City, Pa. on August 17, 1912. Chester Frederick Uthe was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 14, 1910. He died in Durham, NC, in 1993.
Relevant names are Batory or Bathory; Kitzki or Kitzky; Scharnowski; Shannon from Michigan & northern Ohio, Uthe or vonHuey, Parks from northern Ohio or Pennsylvania.
I have several countries to cover, US, Germany, Prussia, Poland, Australia, England, France; and many states -- Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania; Indiana and I can only guess at how many more. I'm trying to make two family trees from two different families and I'm a beginner. I can use all the help I can get!
