I am just starting to find out more about my extended and very large family. I do know that I have a lot of relatives in New Mexico which I have not met as of yet. I do know that my family is very very large, my grandmother Julianita Pena-Castillo was 1 of 19 children, who grew up very poor in Cuba, New Mexico. My mother Mary is one of her 13 children, she is now Mary Valdez who lives in Northern Arizona. If there is anyone out there who can help me find out anything about my own heritage please email me or feel free to contact me. On my father's side I know a lot
less and don't even know where to start, all I know is that my
grandmother Candelaria Salas-Valdez died in her mid 20's giving birth to her 4th son, and that my father and his 2 older brothers were raised in St. Anthony's Orphanage in Albuquerque New Mexico. I know it is a long shot, but there have to be people who know about my extended family. I just wish I can find
out about them before I become one of the "missing links" myself.
