I have been able to trace back to a female named Perotte Toureur and have found the following spellings for Turner: Tourneaux, Tourneur, Tourneau, Turneur and Tourneau. Perotte was born in France and I cannot find a spouse for her, just that she had a son named Alexis Tourneur that was my great(3) grandfather that was married to Anastasie Trahan in Louisiana, 1862. On my mother's side I am tracking the Carter family of James Thomas Carter from Forney, Texas.
