For the last several years I have been verifying infomation given to me by my Aunt. From this information I have expanded to include my paternal ancestors and most recently my maternal
ancestors which came from Ontario Canada.
The internet,mailing lists and membership to Ancestry world family tree has expanded my contacts.I've also become a memeber of the Jefferson County Genealogical Society and subscribe to genealogical magazines. All have been helpful in research.
I have researched Nichols to Montgomery County in the 1790's where we meet up with Bellingers,Lodwicks,and Wafuls.I'm still trying to find out who Samuel Nichols' parents were.
My current research on Robson,Smith and Gilchrist in Canada to Jefferson County is proceeding nicely.In fact we are planning our first family reunion the summer.
Persistence pays off.

  On 2/1798 Samuel Nichols Married Hannah Gilbert at New Hartford Presbyterian Church Oneida NY.The family moved North and East to Jefferson County where they still reside.
