I owe a debt of gratitute to Alma Maria (Crum) Hanson and her son Martin Franklin Hanson for the intensive work on the Hanson line back to Abraham Crum for DAR membership and then through many collateral lines back well into the 1700's. I was born to Peter Krohn but adopted by Donald Van Cleave. Since there exists (somewhere!) a Van Cleave genealogy I hope to retrace that line. I'd like to trace the Krohn line too, but I don't have so much as names of grandparents.

I am now also tracing the Jaegels and Heimsoth lines for my childrens' sake.
