I descend from JACQUES ARCHAMBAULT, a Huguenot Pilgrim who arrived in the New World in the 1640's.

My ggGrandparents, ANTOINE and CAROLINE (Alcock) ARCHAMBAULT immigrated from the St. Ste Marie, Canada area to central lower Michigan prior to 1860.

"Archambault" is the original spelling of the surname, however there are many variations in the USA today, including Archambeau, Archambo, Shambo, Shambeau, etc.
