I have been researching all the descendants of Hendrik Alberts VanderJagt who was born Abt. 1760 in Siegerswoude, NETH and died there Oct 4 1807. He married Klassje Jannes Pool Oct 9 1785 in Ureterp,Friesland,NETH. Three Great-Grandsons Albert, Harry, and Jannes later came to America. Albert and Harry were brothers and came to Michigan in 1883. Later these two brothers and there families moved to Lynden, Whatcom Co., WA. in 1907. Jannes, who was Albert and Harry's 1st cousin, came to America in the 1890's. Most of Jannes's family remained in the Michigan area. Most of the descendants of these three men changed the spelling of their last name to VanderYacht. Special thanks to Yntze VanderHoning for providing help with much of this information.
