The Vanzego Family history is still being researched. Unknown Vanzego's have been found, but there is still much work to be done. We are of African-American descent. We were told that the surname Vanzego is of Italian origin. Joseph Vanzego, my father, informed me that his father, Preston Vanzego had an accent and related to him that the surname was French-Canadian. It is now 2005, and I have discovered that the name is indeed Italian. However, the spelling may have been changed throughtout the years. I believe the correct spelling of the surname is Vanzago. Therefore, the search continues! Caio.
