This branch of the family Van den Beukel has its roots in Holland, the Westland area, south of the Hague - Delft.
My grandfather was named Jan Willem van den Beukel and as his eldest grand son I happen to bear his name as well. My grandfather founded a greenhouse company in the Westland. And so did his 6 sons, of which the eldest was my father.
Of his 6 daughters some of them married a greenhouse enterpreneur as well, although others decided otherwise.
The mother of these 12 children is still alive (and kicking) and lives in Maasdijk, the Netherlands.
I know, there are several Van den Beukel branches in Holland and there are also living many people with this sir name in countries like the UK and the USA. I know this from my Internet travels, since 1993.
Since the rise of the Internet I have always considered this an excellent medium to get in contact with remotely related relatives elsewhere on the globe. But refrained from digging into town hall and/or church archives to find out the exact relationships.
