I have very little information about my husband's family. I have some written down on paper and the handwritting is hard to read. I understand his Paternal grandfather came from the Netherlands as a child. His grandmother came from Finland as a young child. Thier family migrated to Portland, Oregon where his grandparents met and married.

I am trying to decipher the handwritting I have, but am wondering if there is anyone else out there who has information on this line. Folkert VanBeek was his name. Her name was Ailleen Mackie. I had heard that Mackie was an americanized name from the Finish name she had.
