At this point I do not have much information. My father's family is from Chesterland, just southeast of Cleveland, Ohio. From stories I have heard his grandfather came to Cleveland by way of upstate New York. The spelling of Shelden with an "e" and not an "o" seems unique, but I am not sure how unique. My grandfather on my father's side picked up and left the family when my father was 5 years old,(this would have been around 1912-1915) went out west, we think Montana, married and started a family. I do know that I am related to an Alaskan Bush Pilot of some fame by the name of Shelden. He would probably been his 80's by now. My grandmother died a few years after he left, I do not know why.

On my mother's side I am a Gibbons from the Eastern Shore of Virginia - Greenbush, VA to be exact. I would like to find more about that family also, as I have almost no information, not even a good story.
