George Leonard Brooks was my grand father on my mothers side all that is known of him is that his fathers name was Don or Donald . He married Minnie Leoda Ramsey in Logan County, Ohio
I have information from my grandfather on but none backwards. I would really like to know more.
He worked for the Pennsylvania railroad from the time he was 13 till 1955 , he died in Feb. 1956.He was born Oct 6, 1881
When I was younger my Grandfather and Grandmother used to go to a Disbennett family reunion somewhere in Ohio. I have a picture of one of he groups from some year . It leads me to believe tha his mothers maiden name possibly was Disbennett since my grandmothers ancesesters wereRamsey and Shocky.
george lived in Leetonia, Ohio all the time that i knew him and died there but he worked along the lines and moved his family with him while he built the road.
