I have recently begun gathering information on my family. It has been difficult because we, relatively speaking, (no pun intended or ?) because our families have only been here since maybe 1840's 1850's. I'm not sure how to research Bern, Switzerland or France records. The other problem is that one of my Great-grandfathers was divorced from his wife and there is very little to go on. The family would not speak of him, the cemetary records are lost and he is supposedly from Bren, Switzerland but he spoke French. Oh well, wish us luck.
