About Our Family Research

Hannah married Isaac P. Giddens (both b. Tenn.) They were married in Murray county Ga. in 1843. They had a daughter, Mary Jane Giddens b. in Walker Co. Ga abt. 1844. Mary Jane married John Henry Smith from Cobb Co. Ga. They married abt. 1865 and went to Jeffersonville, Ind. I don't think they stayed very long.Mary Jane died in child birth and her baby was still born. The only surviver was my gggrandmother Cora Lee Smith. I think Hannah died in Jackson County Ga. I saw on the 1870 death schedule in Jackson Co. where a Mary Smith who died in child birth and baby was stil born.
In the 1850 census of Walker County Ga. Isaac, Hannah, Abygail, Mary Jane, Nancy and William T were listed as children of Hannah and Isaac. In the 1860 census Isaac and Hannah were gone and the children were staying with other people. Mary Jane was staying with L. C. and Mary Grady which had been changed to Catoosa County in 1860.
I have heard through the family that Charlotte Patterson b. in the late 1700s married a Grady which is related to us in some way. I have had very little to go on and this has been very complicated.
I would like to know where Mary Jane died and is buried. I would like to know what happened to Isaac and Hannah and why they could not care for their children. I would also like to know what happened to them. This is a mystery to me. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You Mary
