My family line traces back to Puerto Rico and Spain. However, one mysterious surname arrises in my family which my family and I have not been able to identify or find the origins: Cabasquini. The last name comes from my paternal grandmother, born and raised in Anasco, Puerto Rico. Her grandmother had an illegitamate child who didn't get the father's last name (Martinez, I believe) because the father refused to claim that the child was his son since he was married to another woman. My family has told me that everyone with the last name of Cabasquini is probably related. What I have not been able to find are the origins of the last name and who exactly where my ancestors.
