Our Ferrell research is a family affair: I together with four cousins, all of us joined by the internet, have read census, gathered wills, probate packets, scoured LDS, family bibles, genealogy.com, genweb, library books and historic fiction to gather the descendents of Charles and Mary Ann Ferrell who lived on 200 acres at County Line Creek, Caswell County, NC, ca 1776. We have successfully traced their six sons, five of them from their dates of birth to the present. We also have explored the social-political forces that drove them from their native Ireland--these Ferrells were Irish Protestants, originally Quakers--drove them out of Caswell County, encouraged them into TN and VA/WVA, up into OH and IN, and then traced their inclusion in the Trans-Appalation migration through MO, AR to TX, OR, ID, WA, and CA. We invite all Ferrells who see their family lines as part of ours to contact us and present their material for inclusion.
