Constantin Gus Vlahos was born January 15,1920, in the tiny hamlet of Petalia located on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator in the Municipality of Thinali,(the former Municipality "Kassopeon") on the island of Corfu, Greece. Completed primary education in Petalia, and in 1932 moved to Athens where he worked and study at night, graduating from the High School of Commerce in 1938. In the same year entered the the Naval School of wireless engineering. Served in the Greek Navy until the end of the civil war 1949. In 1953 was married to Eleni (Helen) Panagiotopoulos of Athens, Greece. In November 1953 immigrated to Alberta, Canada where he worked for the Province of Alberta as Telecommunications Specialist in the Department of Lands and Forests. Gus is now the President of Advantage National Travel, and has 3 children, Kathy - James - Yolanda and 3 grand children, Denise - Ashley - and Dean
