Most of my research has tracked my family names of Brooks (Capt. Thomas Brooks of Concord, MA 1635); Underwood family of North Carolina in the 1700s; Meek family originally from Cork County, Ireland; William Bean family from Inverness Shire, Scotland to America around 1665; Williams family of Floyd County, VA originally from Wales; Andrew Barbee family in America around 1665; James Daniel Riley family from England; Benajah Pate family from Tennessee; the Bull family to Maryland around 1660; and the Epperly family also from Floyd County, VA.

A Barbee reunion is active every year at Oakdale Park in Glen Rose, Texas. A Meek reunion is held in the same area around Memorial Day.
