I am just starting to research the complete family backgrounds of Panierello, Vola, Clevenger, Clayton, Monteparo and Scott. I hope to especially find my grandmother's (Felicitia Illmini or Ilmini)home in the Ticino Province of Switzerland. We were very close and she would tell me stories of the big lake near her house. In the meantime I will begin with the relatives here in New Jersey and New York. I understand that Felicitia came to this country with her sister Judith. Judith Illmini went on to Ohio where she married. I cannot remember her married name but they had a farm. Lima Ohio comes to me as a place I heard Gramma speak of (when she talked about her sister). I did see Aunt Judith once when she came to Belmar NJ to visit Gramma and the family. My father, Andrew Albert Panariello or Panarello was young when his father died. They had an Italian grocery store on Mott St, NYC,NY about 1890 til 1900. Felicitia and Mr Panierello(I do not know his first name) had three living children-Josephine, Andrew and Caesar. She moved to Belmar NJ with the children about 1902 when my dad was seven years old. I do not know much about my other granddad except he came to Belmar at the same time. When Gramma and he were married or where, I do not know. He was a musician, had an orchestra at one time, loved to play the accordian. He also had a roadhouse near West Palm Beach Fla on the ?Ochechobee Trail? in the 20's& 30's.
