Repine, Dye, Fry & Mumma Connection of Indiana Cty. PA

About Our Family Research

For the last five years I have been archiving pictures, documents and data. Now it is time to get serious. I am reaching out to my extended family to provide the missing links. Please search my tree and let me know of any errors.I have left out information on living people to protect their identity but I have it on my home tree. I will be glad to give it individually to family members.

During my search I have found wonderful information about our family. Jacob Fry, an uncle on my grandmother Isabel Fry Repine's side, died at Gettysburg during the Civil War. Another uncle Jacob Mumma had the family farm burnt at Antietam during that same war. It was the only civilian farm burnt during the battle so it is easy to find in historical documents. My father's grandmother was a Mumma. The Dunker Church at Antietam was donated by our family. The next time you visit the battlefield visit the Mumma Cemetery. It is amazing.

I have been reduced to tears at times when I found really special information. My many times great grandfather Lenhardt Mumma signed fidelity to King George when he came to Philadelphia in the early 1700s. I have a copy of his signature from the Philadelphia archives. What a thrill to have that link from 300 years ago. Without him I would not be here!
