| About Our Family Research |

This research is being done by Beverly Dye Vorhees born in Pennsylvania. Her parents were John Elwood Dye and Pauline Elizabeth Repine. The Dyes and Repines lived only a mile apart for many years during the 1950's and 1960's. They lived in Indiana County in western PA. The mailing address was Cherry Tree, PA but the name of the little town was Spruce, PA. Locals referred to the town as "Number Nine". There was a one-room school at the location which was also called "Number Nine School". Pauline's parents, Wilbert and Isabel Repine had 7 children. Urald and Della Dye had 13. The family descendants are now spread from coast to coast. Beverly and her grown sons live in Florida along with her mother Pauline. Lois is in Colorado. Tracy, Lois's daughter lives in Georgia. On the Dye side, many live in New York or Ohio while many still live in western Pennsylvania. This home page is being published as an attempt to locate family members. Pauline and John Dye were divorced in 1960. Beverly, Barbara and John, their children have lost touch or do not know their many cousins. Beverly is archiving family photos and is creating a family data base. Please contact her through this website if you can add information or if you are a "long lost cousin". She would love to hear from you.
