So far, I've had the most success with my father's line, on the male side. I am the oldest son of Jack Donald Wagnon & Margaret Emeline Murray McRae. My Father, Jack Donald Wagnon, was born in 1919, the oldest child of John Baley Wagnon & Mary Blanche Gallagher. John Bailey Wagnon was born in 1890, the only child of John Wesley Wagnon & Lucy Anne Bailey, John Wesley was born in 1863, to James Thomas Wagnon & Susan E.____? or Lucy V.___? James was born in 1824 to Thomas Poythress Wagnon & Harriet Crutchfield Haughton. Thomas was born in 1790 to Thomas Poythress Wagnon & Eleanor Saucer. This Thomas was born in 1762 to Thomas Wagnon & Frances Vaughn. Thomas was born in 1727, his father, Peter Wagnon, appears to have been born in Virginia around 1700. During those years they have moved from Virginia to Alabama, to Texas, To Oklahoma, and to California.
My Mother was born in 1923 to Thomas Leckie Black McRae & Emma Blanche Murray, Thomas was born in 1885 to George McRae & Anne Black. Emma was born in 1883 to James Clarence Murray & Emeline S. Archibald.James Clarence was born in1842 to John Murray & Jessie Southerland both from Sutherlandshire, Scotland. Emeline S. was born in 1846 to John Harris Archibald & Rebecca Miller. John Harris was born in 1819 to James Archibald & Hannah Harris. Rebecca Miller was born in 1824 to Thomas Miller & Janet Calvin.
