My name is Roger Wakelin. I have researched my WAKELIN family back to 1766 in Croughton Northamptonshire in England.

To date all information has come from private research by a family member traveling to Croughton and searching church records.

Our family in New Zealand is the line of EDWARD WAKELIN born 1766 married to ELIZABETH born Croughton (we think, no proof.)
Edward & Elizabeth had 3 children Henry, Josiah & Samuel.
My line comes through Henry who married Ann Malmsbury. Their children were William, George, John, Samuel, Edward, Henry, & Henry.
Edward b 1815 married Elizabeth Moss in Newbottle. they emigragted to New Zealand in 1875. Their children were; George, Martha, John, William, Benjamin, Charles, Clara, Rachel, Thomas, Alice and Arthur (my grandfather).
Arthur b 1892 married Mable Annie Chambers of Australia in 1915.
