Hi!Not much here yet but thanks for dropping in anyhow!

Naturally I am researching the Walker's of the world. Primarily southern US lines but we seem to have gotten around so who knows where the links will take me.

Other surnames linked to my heritage are:
.....GILBERT, GATES, STEWART, WHATLEY, OLIVER, HELMER and MANY MORE

Key names of interest (circa 1800) are:
.... Jeremiah Walker (last seen Topisaw/Pike County, MS; 1826)
..... - SON: Thomas Jefferson Walker

Jeremiah's parents could have been John Walker and Sarah (?Elizabeth?) Gates who moved to Mississippi from Georgia.

Brief lineage would look something like:

1 John Walker b: 1785 in Virginia
..... + Sarah Gates 1790 - b: 1790 in GA m: in GA
........ 2 Jeremiah Walker b: in GA
.......... 3 Thomas Jefferson Walker b: in MS d: LA
............ + Frances Whittington m: Feb. 27, 1841
........ 2 ?William Walker?

Thus my quest has begun!
Best of luck with yours!
