The Bass Family Reunions were begun by Beverly Bass Warren, daughter of Edward K. Bass (E. K.). The first family reunion was held September 4 - 6, 1998 (Labor Day Weekend)in the city of Dothan, Alabama at the Holiday Inn on the Circle. Dothan was chosen because it is just approximately 14 miles from the community of Gordon, Alabama where the Basses lived. There were 88 registered family members in attendance.
There have been one other reunion which was held on the beautiful beach of Fort Lauderdale,Florida during Labor Day weekend 2000. The third reunion is being planned by Yvonne Bass Hughes and the Jacksonville, Florida family. It is also scheduled for the Labor Day Weekend. We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone again.
Thus far, there has been little information garnered about the
family members. Ernest Bass' father's name was Charlie. Elijah
Bass was first cousin to the Ernest Bass (Lula) siblings.
Good News! Danielle Bass has recently entered medical school at F.S.U. in Tallahassee, Fl.
David Germany is a 2002 graduate of the Unversity of Alabama.
Alvin (A. J.) Washington appeared on the Oprah Show May 25th with the Boys' Choir of Tallahassee.
Edward and Rhonda Bass III has another addition to the family: Chelsea Simonne, born September 13, 2001 in Albany, Ga.
Sad News! Pearline Bass Patmon lost her husband, Amos, earlier this year.
