About Our Family Research



In 1856, Johann Warskow, his wife Johanna "Hannah" Puttkammer Warskow and their four children William August Warskow age 9 years old, Charles Warskow age 6 years old, Johann Warskow, Jr. age 3 and Warner Warskow age 1 sailed from Stettin, Prussia for America. Soon after arriving in this country, Johann purchased a farm near St. Joseph, Michigan on the corner of what is now US31 and Marquette Woods Road.

Soon after arriving in this country the name was changed from Warskow to Warsco.
