I need help in finding out any information about previous generations of the Isaac and McDuffie family. We are truly a large family with many residing in Washington DC, Baltimore Maryland and Fayettville North Carolina.
Unlike her parents and siblings names and dates of birth, my grandmother, Fannie Mae Isaac Williams was only able to remember her grandfathers' and grandmothers' names and not their dates of birth or death. Fannie was the youngest of nine children. Fannie's mother, Addie Jane McDuffie Isaac's mothers name was Ann Isaac. Addie's father was Owen Isaac. Addie's husband was Samuel W. Isaac. Fannie said they called her grandfather "Orange" but, I want to assume that it was Oran or Owen. She also mentioned that the family knew very little about him. Also, it's possible that he was a runaway slave who selected his last name from the Bible - Isaac - so that he couldn't be captured.
I would love to add unknown family members to the family tree. I would love to find out more about my families ancestry if possible.
