About Our Family Research
Walter Montgomery Warren (1840-1917),first traveled to the Panhandle of Texas in the Summer of 1889 from Collin County, Texas. He moved his family in December of the same year to Washburn, Texas. He set up his homestead seven miles east of Washburn. There he opened a Blacksmith Shop.In 1897 he moved his family into Amarillo. There he built a home at what is now 11th & Lincoln.
