I have relied heavily upon the research of others to put together my family tree and would greatly appreciate corrections and additions. In some instances there is no varification available and it is possible that errors will be found. If anyone has information which may include possible sibblings or spouses, stories, connections or photographs of any of the family members then I would love to add them to our fast growing and exstensive family archives. I am interested in researching the trees and hopefully uncovering undiscovered branches along the way. In doing so there are many other family names that have links to my Hooper and Compton families. There are also other same named families that have no link to my Hooper or Compton families that coincidently came from the same area in the UK and settled in the same area of New Zealand. Coincidence or not? In researching these unconnected names I have found some mysteries that I oneday hope to solve. Many of these names have crossed paths with the Hooper and Compton family branches over the years in New Zealand. I am following a line of thought that they may have crossed paths prior to them leaving the UK. I would like to find out more about the lives of the families in the UK, the area they came from at that particular period in time, what lead them to immigrate and if indeed they did know each other before arriving in NZ. I have found it very helpful to collect Church names, Street names, Town or Parish names as well as Surnames that connect to these family members. Further help will always be appreciated.
