Recently my Mother (age 81) began cleaning out her home, as she and my Father are moving to a retirement community. She recently found a hand made family tree of the decendants of Anna Delander, my Great, great, great grandmother. One of our distant relatives originally made it. A copy was given to my Mothers' old maid aunt, who had helped the author (name unknown)of the tree with names and dates for members on our branch of the tree. When the old maid aunt died, it passed to my Mother.
Mom didn't really want it anymore, but she didn't want to throw it away either, so gave it to me. It includes nine generations of our family. (I am in the fifth generation.) For the most part it has birth dates, dates of death (where applicable) and names of spouses and children, also with dates. In all there are over 400 names on it.
Since I am a member of the computer generation, I have decided to computerize the family tree, and try to complete it.
I am hoping to produce a family tree document of our family. We would enjoy hearing from any other individuals who are currently beginning a search, especially any one with tips or hints.
