My four grandparents' surnames were Taylor, Hughes, Gwaltney, and Lance. They were all from Western North Carolina. I'm always interested in hearing from anyone who wants to share information.

• Cozie Taylor June 10, 1896 - May 21, 2000 (9 KB)
  Aunt Cozie never married; she lived by herself until she was very old, I think in the house she was born in. When I visited in the 80's she had no inside toilet, said anyone who would relieve themselves in their living quarters was filthy :) She contributed to the Avery County Heritage books and wrote a booklet about her life which includes Taylor and Wiseman information.

  Manning H. Lance b. 1865 and Leathis Hice b. 1872. Leathia made the dress she is wearing in this photo.
• John A. and Rebecca Parish Blackburn, abt 1890? (19 KB)
  John A. Blackburn b. March 1860 and Rebecca Parish b. August 1866 were m. in 1883. I don't know when this photo was taken. I don't know who their parents were. I'd appreciate any info on them (and will of course share what I have).
