Johann (Hans) Martin Weybrecht



1. MARTIN5 WEYBRECHT (JOHANN GEORG4, GEORG3, HANS MICHAEL2, LEONARD1) was born 1689 in Schonbrunn, Margraviate of Brandenburg Germany, and died Abt. March 11, 1749/50 in Lancaster Co., Penn.. He married MARGARETHA HOFFMAN August 1715 in Crailsheim, Brandenburg, Germany, daughter of ANDREAS HOFFMAN.

Notes for MARTIN WEYBRECHT:
The first Weybrecht to come to America was Martin Weybrecht. He, his wife and five children came on the ship, Loyal Judith, based out of London. The Weybrechts were among 115 "Palatines" who landed at Philadelphia on 25 Sep 1732. In 1738, Martin took out a warrant for 250 acres of land on Conestoga Creek in Lancaster County, Penn. and 11 Dec 1739 he received a patent deed for 275 acres from John Penn, Richard Penn and Thomas Penn, heirs of the late William Penn, proprietary owner of all of Pennsylvania.

Notes for JOHANN MICHAEL WEYBRECHT:
His body was originally buried Toms Creek Church Cem., Maryland. In 1874, the grave was removed to the Citizens Cem., Gettysburg, Adams Co., Penn. There is a bronze marker in front of Michael's grave.
