WILL OF SARAH LEECH
September 27, 1809, Calloway County, Kentucky

In the name of God Amen I Sarah Leech of Caldwell County and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, being weak in body but sound in memory, do make this my last will and testament. I first commit my soul to God that gave it. As to my worldly goods I give and bequeath as follows: To my son David Leech one dollar, also my daughter Jane Vaughn one dollar, also to my daughter Ellender Underwood one dollar, also to my son William one dollar, also to my daughter Susannah Loftis one dollar. Also to my son John one dollar. Also to my Joseph all the notes and bonds that I have against him in the hands of Jonah Watson I give to him after my death. Also to my son James all the notes and bonds that I have against him I give to him after my death. Also I give to my son Joseph's daughter Jean one cow and double wove bed cover, one pewter dish and Baron. Also the remainder of my stock and shelf affairs I give to my son James. Also I give to my grandson John Leech, son of James Leech, all my half of the land he now lives on, which he is to make a title to. Also I give to my granddaughter, Sarah Young my best feather bed. Also to my daughter, Ellender Underwood my other bed and furniture of each bed and all my wearing clothes for them to divide between themselves. Also I allow my daughter in law Martha Leech to have my saddle if she has not got one before my death if she has my desire it to be given to granddaughter Sarah Young.

In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 27th September 1809.

Record in my office. Given under my hand this 1st day of January 1810
