THE ANDERSON COUNTY NEWS - Thursday December 16, 1915:

BENJ. PRICE FOUND DEAD
Benjamin Price, aged fifty-eight years, was found dead in the woodshed close to his house in the Stringtown vicinity, Sunday, about 12 o'clock, by his wife. We are told that he was in his usual good health and that he had gone to the shed to get some wood about 11:30 o'clock, and as he failed to return as soon as his wife thought he should, she went to the shed and found him dead. It was indeed a great shock to her and she hurriedly to the house and notified the neighbors and they carried Mr. Price to the house and rendered the grief-stricken wife all possible assistance.

Mr. Price was the son of the late Samuel Price and Alcy Williams Price and was a carpenter by profession, tho he farmed to some extent. Some twenty-odd years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Lucy Duncan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Duncan. No children were born to there happy union. He was a quite, industrious and good citizen and was liked by all who knew him.

The funeral was held at his late home Tuesday and the remains were buried in Sand Spring cemetery, after services by Rev. W.D. Moore. Much sympathy is felt for the heartbroken wife in her hour of sorrow. May an All-Wise Providence comfort her in her affliction.
